Melbourne: December 5, 2012

The weird thing about this day and age is that we can look at experiences in real life and know how we'll reflect on them later. We'll think "Oh, that was pretty corny" "Why did I ever let myself do that". But the fact of the matter is that those moment when we allow those tiny thoughts and desires come through are the memories that will sustain in our memories for years. So I say take pictures in front of monuments or on the days that you go on little adventures because for all you know something monumental to you may happen and the only documentation you'll have to bring you back to that moment will be a picture that led to said event(s). There was a time, when people lived much shorter lives, when there was nothing to take them back to grand stories of their lives. It wasn't as vivid an experience to re-tell, which is something we have available to us in this spectacular time in human history. We can peacefully experience most of the world, return home and have everything many people have only dreamed about throughout centuries. We have to ability to explore for ourselves, rather than for others. We can be greedy with the world; you just need to grasp it, take pictures, tell stories.
