510

I started writing when it finally hit me that I'd be leaving the home I fell into. Away from the family I'd made mine.

I'm going to miss the beautiful people that I've lived with. I'm going to miss Sonja bickering over Chris' inability to properly do dishes. The constant drawing sessions that Emmy inspired in the house. Allen's go with the flow mentality; that even when it's not working out, it'll work out. I won't miss certain things though, like the mess I'd wake up to in the kitchen before heading to work, constantly not knowing the strangers walking through the house and being afraid of the crazy canuck in the back. But if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have met some of the kindest hearts on the planet. I wouldn't have met Kirsty; she'll move the world to see you for 5 minutes. I would have never had met the legend that is Orla. I've met with her in every city I've been to and always found adventure in amazing company. Tadhg would have never been able to show me that you can let go of animosity. Paul wouldn't have shown me you can be calm and reasonable in the storm. Weldo. Oh, Weldo, he'll give you a good teasing with the best intentions. He'll even fix the doors about 5 times and talk his way into anything. Courtney can show you what faith and gratitude is all about.

More than anything the experiences I had at 510 wouldn't have been possible without three people.

Chris knows everyone worth knowing and nobody not worth knowing. He's a peacekeeper and a trouble maker. He's guaranteed the reason you don't know anyone walking around the house, but he's also the reason you're not worried. He has a longstanding energy only the Irish can have. He'll be up for days creating a haven for everyone who comes through the house. The way that he shows he cares is unique to only him. He'll bring good energy and let it linger. He might not say anything of it, but he'll draw you a pony.

Dexi Paul; a perfectionist who'll let his heart out in a minute if he thinks you're sound, but he'll push you too. He could inspire anyone with the amount of passion he has for tomatoes; for the perfect homemade meal and a quality beverage. I swear if he doesn't make his dreams happen I will make it my life purpose to ensure that it does. There have been countless nights where he and I would brainstorm themes for venues, for what our lives could be.

There have been countless nights that I have stayed up with Sonja coming to terms that I'm in it. I'm travelling. Alone. But I'm not alone. There is no way to describe how much this woman cares for the people in her life. She asks questions with the intent of remembering everything about the answer. She's a beacon of strength and good will if there ever could be. She's family. She skype's with her parents every week and introduces you to them. She's so proud to be theres. She's proud of her friends too. My love for Sonja is like blood, like the first few rays of the sunrise.

God damn am I going to miss that house. God damn am I going to miss the 510 family.
